Babe Ruth Baseball League plays
under the regulation
baseball rules of professional baseball which are established
by the Official Playing Rules Committee. Babe Ruth baseball has
made specific modification to the official rules specific to the
various age groups within Babe Ruth Baseball. Babe Ruth Baseball
rules are not available online and are published each year a rule
book which Stafford Baseball issues to every umpire and team manager.
Stafford Baseball will use the
official Babe Ruth Baseball League rules for all divisions with
modifications to those rules as approved by the Board of Directors
of Stafford Baseball. Where there is a conflict with any other
baseball rules SBL house rules will apply. The house rules can
be found in Ariticle 15 of the SBL
Procedures.
The prime consideration of the
SBL program is the welfare of the youth involved. These rules
are a reflection of this policy even though they may differ from
those accepted by any other baseball programs. On the occasion
that a situation may arise that is not specifically or generally
covered by these rules SBL officials will take such action as
deemed necessary to allow the program to function with this prime
consideration in mind.
