SBL NIGHTS

 

SBL NIGHT AT COLONIAL FORGE HIGH SCHOOL:

Friday, May 4, 2012, 5:00 P.M.,(time change) is SBL Night at Colonial Forge High School Baseball as they play host to Brooke Point High School. Any SBL player or coach in uniform will receive free admission to the game.

 

SBL DAY WITH THE POTOMAC NATIONALS:

Sunday, June 3, 2012 will be SBL Day with the Potomac Nationals. The P-Nats will face the Lynchburg Hillcats at 1:05 P.M. Reserved tickets are $10 per person (children under 5 are free if sitting on a parent's lap). Potomac National players will be available to sign autographs with children on the field during pre-game festivities. Kids can also be on the field during the National Anthem. Post-game children will be able to run the bases and play catch on the field with parents. Participants will also receive a10% discount in the National Mall, P-Nats Official Team Store.

2012 BASEBALL BAT RULES:

 

Cal Ripken League - Must not exceed 33" in length and the barrel may not exceed 2 1/4" in diameter. Any "non-wood" barrel bats must be marked BPF 1.15.

 

Babe Ruth League 13-14 - Must not exceed 34" in length and the barrel may not exceed 2 5/8" in diameter. Composite barrels must be marked BBCOR .50.

 

Babe Ruth League 15-18 - Must not exceed 34" in length and the barrel may not exceed 2 5/8" in diameter or be greater than a -3 weight ratio. All non-wood bats must be marked BBCOR .50.

REGISTRATION:

Registration is now late for all leagues except 16U Girl's Softball and Babe Ruth League 15-18 Baseball. Most leagues are wait-listing and players will placed from the waitlist depending on divisions and space. If we cannot place your child you will be fuly refunded. 16U Girl's Softball is struggling in registration numbers and may have to be cancelled unless we get an influx of 15 and 16 year old gi

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING:

Board of Directors meetings are held every FIRST THURSDAY of the month for the entire calendar year, at 7:00 P.M., at the Courthouse Community Center. The Board of Directors meetings are open to the public for observation but not participation. However, time is alloted for any member to address the Board for any comments or concerns.

 

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING:

General Membership Meetings are held on the FIRST THURSDAY of the SEPTEMBER, and the FIRST THURSDAY in NOVEMBER at 7:00 P.M., at the Courthouse Community Center. The General Membership meetings are open to the public for observation. Only SBL members in good standing, as defined in our by-laws, will have voting privelages.

 


HELP WANTED:

SBL is in need of help for our concession stands. These concessions stands generate much needed revenue for SBL which goes directly to advancing our programs, upgrading our equipment, coach's training and other events for the kids.
